How is this possible?

IIRC, it was 1959, John. Things were different back then. And there's always a little something we refer to as "talent." ;)

I have the album, but thanks for the post. Listening to Snooks is always a treat.

Hi all

Luckily for us, George Mitchell has apparently started a YouTube channel! A quote from George Mitchell's facebook page, shared in public:

Quote
For my blues facebook friends, and others who are interested, I have decided to start posting some of my field recordings from 1962 to 1984. All are available on Amazon. Here are four songs by the great Atlanta bluesman, and one of the greatest blues guitarists from anywhere ?ever?Buddy Moss. I recorded them in my family's living room when I was 19 years old. Buddy could play as well as he could back when he was making records (78 rpm)

And here's the video, by "some dude named George Mitchelle".  :)

Cheers

Only snippets of Tony Blues Lewis available on you tube, but on the basis of this clip I just bought the album "Danceland Records the 50th anniversary collection":

Autistic Boy playing Robert Johnson the way some people (but not me) feel that Charlie Patton played

Hi all,
I never heard this one before, and it sure is a treat!  I love the harmony singing.  I think it is Walter Roland and Sonny Scott.

All best,
Johnm

Fabulous treat!  Beats the heck out of Pharrell Williams' "Happy".  In my opinion of course.
