Here's some live footage of "Whistlin'" Alex Moore. Does anyone know where or when this might have been done?

Cheers Pan Here's some live footage of "Whistlin'" Alex Moore. Does anyone know where or when this might have been done?A pure stab in the dark but I'm guessing maybe the October/November 1969 continental leg of that year's AFBF. At the Royal Albert Hall he was wearing the same head gear! http://www.wirz.de/music/moorafrm.htm - scroll down to the live Arhoolie LP recorded on that tour. Not exactly Country Blues, but related, sure. Dinah Washington--whew, what utter authority! You think her band members gave her any back talk? I don't think so. Wow! amazing the way she drops into character for the first line. Thank you for posting this one up!
Dinah Washington was just so cool. I greatly admire and appreciate the happy absence of melismata, or what I think of as "Gospel Gravy" poured over everything.
All best, Johnm Among blues fans in Britain during the mid 60s there was a "cult" bootleg 45 by Guitar Nubbit of which only 99 copies were pressed. The 'A' side was "Georgia Chain Gang".
I note that Nubbit's death in 1995 is listed in today's Eric's Blues Dates so a good time to revive it. His discography, such as it is, can be viewed here and a lyric transcription/feature articles can be found at the bottom. http://www.wirz.de/music/nubbifrm.htm Nice choice BH. I have the Guitar Nubbit record on Matchbox, but probably don't play it as often as I should, because it runs at 45 rpm and it's a bit of a performance changing my deck over from 33 rpm.

Thanks for finding and posting that one, Bunker Hill. Georgia Chain Gang was a favorite among the writers/editors of Rolling Stone magazine in its first few years, being reviewed there and, if my memory is accurate, being mentioned as a notable 45 of the year or something like that. I've known about the song since 1968 or 69, but never heard it until today.
First time hearing that for me too, Bunker Hill. Thank you there are some great lyrics in there!
