I learned earlier today that Lou passed away on April 11. He was well known to us Puget Sounders who visited Kenyon Hall for shows. What a great guy he was. Hopefully, they'll be able to keep the place going, but it just won't be the same without Lou.

Sorry to hear about this.

It's hard to find venue owners who are willing to showcase acts like Del Rey, Orville Johnson, and Johnson/Dermody/Miller.

I hope the folks running this non-profit find a way to preserve Louis's musical motivation.

For those outside of the Seattle area, it's worth doing searches for "Kenyon Hall Wurlitzer" to find photos of the hall's showpiece instrument.
