It was sad music. But it waved that sadness like a battle-flag. It said the universe had done all it could, but you were still alive - Terry Pratchett, Soul Music
Are there any modern country blues guitarists worth listening to? I love the classic Blind Blake, Charlie Patton, Blind Lemon Jefferson, etc...but I would really like to hear some great modern blues hits! It sucks, It seems to me that music had peaked during the golden age of country blues, lmao.
The link above is a handy one. You could even try Mixcloud, where I have been doing a "show" focussed entirely on modern acoustic players with firm roots in the old stuff. (search for Mendip Slim)
Everyone has their own tastes, but among the players who immediately rush to mind, are the likes of Ari Eisenger, Paul Geremia, Ben Andrews.
And of course you have John Miller, of this parish...
Vernonica Sbergia and Max de Bernardi an italian duet without a website, but you'll find many videos on Youtube an Facebook (they did a few Facebook livestream during the lockdown)
Well, it's not really surprising, the original poster hasn't bothered to check back in since the day after asking a totally lame and insulting question. Such is the internet.

My advice to long time Weenie Campbell members is this. Don't feed new subscribers that ask stupid questions. If you must reply, qualify them first by asking your own questions. If they fail to engage in a meaningful way you know it really ain't worth your- or anyone else's time. Let's keep the troll count down to the minimum.
PapaOneil, the ball is in your court. I, and everyone else here, will not be holding our collective breaths.

I would like to second the mention for Max and Veronica. Max De Bernardi is one of the finest guitarists I know. He is currently doing a series of videos on YouTube called Max Picks. Here's the latest where he plays Old Country Rock and Ragtime Millionaire:
