1. Did he play a national steel guitar?
2. Was he recorded at the same session with Son House?
3. I have 4 recordings by him. Is that all he recorded?

i think there's a little bit of disagreement here about who william brown is.
the william brown who recorded ragged and dirty and mississippi blues was not the same as the willie brown who recorded future blues and m&o as well as backing son house on his LoC recordings. this willie brown also recorded 'make me a pallet on the floor' for LoC. this latter track sounds like it may be played with a national but his 1930 recordings do not.
i'm sure someone else can link to a previous thread on this topic.

One thing that I think isn't mentioned in the other Willie/William Brown discussions is that besides his three "features" - East St Louis Blues, Mississippi Blues, and Ragged and Dirty - he plays guitar behind Willie Blackwell on Blackwell's two Library of Congress recordings.
