The Ballad of Shirley Collins Documentary
« on: January 11, 2018, 07:55:15 AM »
Hi all,
I don't believe I've heard mention of this on WC yet so thought I'd post the below preview for 'The Ballad of Shirley Collins' a documentary which came out last year. As it covers the life of Shirley Collins there is naturally some coverage of her time spent recording songs in the American South with Alan Lomax. I don't see any info on the documentary streaming online yet, and looks like most of the showings right now are over across the pond. But presumably some day it'll be somewhere for all of us to enjoy.
