Cypress Grove Blues on slide
« on: April 18, 2014, 08:00:33 AM »
This was Spring last year, one lazy weekend afternoon at the park.  I don't know... all those trees make me remember Skip's tune, so I tried to adapt it for slide. Need to develop further and think of actual slide licks to add in there.

Cool thanks for that, Cypress Grove is maybe my favorite Skip James tune. Nice playing and the tune and tuning does lend itself to a national and slide (I wish I owned a National).
I met a woman she was a pigmeat some
Big fat mouth, I followed her home
She pulled a gun and broke my jaw
Didnt leave me hard on, I didnt get sore
