Gibsons, Stellas and more
« on: August 01, 2013, 12:40:11 PM »
I recently went into a music store in York, PA.  I have stopped by this store for forty years.  Campbell Music has long catered to acoustic musicians, especially bluegrass.  But yesterday they had an array of fine blues acoustic guitars.  Three very nice old Gibsons some Stellas and more.  Here are some pictures (eye candy) for your enjoyment.

Nice. How much? Would be the obvious crass question, since I invested $2 in a powerball ticket today.

The guitars range from around $1200 to $3800 for the very nice L-00.  They are on consignment there.  A really nice collection of guitars up close and in person.  My wife loved the L-00.  She bought a 1935 SS Stewart F hole last time we were there.

Not bad at all. i know of a black L-00 in Austin for sale right now asking $4K, not nearly as nice cosmetically but plays really good and sounds fab. Too much for me. You have to play a few before pulling the trigger, is what I've learned.

Right now they have lots of great guitars at what I thought were fair prices.  I've got a couple I love and can only play one at a time, so far...
