Joe Pullum was a fine singer. One pianist who worked with him, Andy Boy, was one of the best Blues or Jazz pianists ever. Sadly, we know less about him than we know about almost any other person discussed on this website. In my opinion, Andy Boy was a player who was more advanced and talented than Roosevelt Sykes, though not on the level of a Jelly Roll Morton or Earl Hines. Anyway, his playing was incredible and worked perfectly with Pullum's vocals. I happened to pull this song up randomly the other day. Most of Pullum's lyrics are easy to make out, though very few of his lyrics have been written up. It's probably because he was a not an "authentic" Bluesman. Pullum, Ollie Shepard, The Sparks Brothers, Bill Gaither and others are stars from the '30s who have been ignored by most of the Country Blues community. Here is "Traveling Blues":
