About 40 years ago I heard about a recording by Sam Chatmon on which Kenny Hall played some mandolin.  Did this in fact ever happen?  Is there any recorded evidence of this?  Been listening to Sam and Kenny separately but wonder how such a compilation would sound.

... just checked: Neither Fancourt & McGrath (1943-1970) nor Ford & McGrath (1971-2000) list such a recording !

I got to play some with Kenny way back.  One night at the Monk's Den in Clovis, CA he could not play mandolin because his fingernails were broken so he played fiddle that night.  Great musician and a wonderful mentor.
