Lokks like Mr. Reese passed last night, thought you all should know. I understand he went peacefully.

Peter Sad. He was born in 1924 so had a "fair innings".
Here's a reprint of an interesting interview conducted with Reese in 1987. http://www.mustrad.org.uk/articles/reese.htm A couple years ago at Port Townsend I remember being woken up at 2 or 3 in the morning in one of the heritage buildings at Fort Worden by someone across the hall in another room listening to talk radio and smoking cigarettes at what smelled like a pack at a time. In the morning, I discovered Nat Reese had moved in. Sure was a nice guy and a true character. Condolences to his friends and family.
I never met Nat but RIP man. The interview BH posted a link to is really good so do check it out.

Had the good fortune to see Nat many times from Charleston to Elkins to Princeton. He was always fun, entertaining and one of the most friendly people you'd ever want to meet.
RIP Nat, we're all gonna miss you here in the Mountain State WayneS
When he felt like doing it, Nat could sing the chicken off the bone. A remarkable "bluesman's voice."
