The piano may do for lovesick girls who lace themselves to skeletons, and lunch on chalk, pickles, and slate pencils. But give me the banjo... When you want genuine music - music that will come right home to you like a bad quarter, suffuse your system like strychnine whiskey . . . ramify your whole constitution like the measles, and break out on your hide like the pin-feather pimples on a picked goose - when you want all this, just smash your piano, and invoke the glory-beaming banjo! - Mark Twain, Early Tales and Sketches, Vol 2 (1864-65)

thanks a lot, Carl !!!
and btw: You can't imagine how much screen shots out of your video I had to do to get an approximately decent picture of that album for my TJ discography , because you always move the guitar's neck up and down before that album cover while playing (still looks a bit shabby, doesn't it?) ;D

Must have been fun, Stefan  ;D

Richard, I use a JVC Everio505 (harddisc) camcorder - it's almost two years old - I always use the internal mike - after recording I hook it up with the computer, reduce the filesize and upload it to Youtube - all very simple and within my 'lowtech' ways.

I did an interview with Evans last year when I did a show on the legacy of Tommy Johnson. Evans was nice enough to make me a copy of the LP for me. You'll find a black & white photo of the cover below:
