I sing city blues... My style of singing has nothing to do with the part of the country I come from. It comes from my soul within. The heartaches and the things that have happened to me in my life - that's what makes a good blues singer - Lonnie Johnson, from Giles Oakley's The Devil's Music, BBC

Kid Prince Moore

Hi, y'all!

I just bought the Kid Prince Moore complete recordings 1936-1938 (on Document) based on the two beautiful songs of his that I had already heard ("Church Bells" and "Sign of Judgement"). Wow. Gotta say the rest of his stuff is great, too. Some fantastic country blues pickin' and singin'. Definitely worth seeking out.

Just wondering if anyone else has been bitten by the KPM bug.  :)

Cheers!

Yup, just bought the Kid Prince Moore CD myself a couple of months ago, and those two songs you mention are true classics.
