Hey come on by if you're in town!
My loathings are simple: stupidity, oppression, crime, cruelty, soft music.

Good grief, did you play the gaslight 44 years ago?  It's a remote possibility that I saw you there.  Was the opening act a terrible poet?

Anyway, Like John says.  Wish I could be there.  Great poster.

There was a poet named Charles John Quarto who often performed there in those days so its entirely possible.

Congrats on the triumphant return, M. O'Muck. Wish I could be there but I will have to wait for the bootleg.

Thanks all. The place has been a bar for the last thirty or more years, the Gaslight having closed, I believe in '72? '74 maybe. I was there that night...sad. It really had been my University in a sense.
Mike Porco's (owner of Gerdes Folk City both now deceased) grandson Bob started the ball rolling at the historic venue and then others of the younger Jalopy crowd, in this case Ernie Vega, a talented younger player, started running shows there as well.
This music returning to the West Village feels a little momentous and hopeful.
As far as living anyone's dream...DON'T EVEN THINK IT! NOT FOR A MINUTE!

Congratulations, Phil. Best of luck with the gig. Hopefully, in addition to Mr. O'Muck's triumphant return, the old Gaslight will continue its triumphant return!
