apologies if this as already been asked.

i have a couple of questions relating to blind blake, hopefully someone may have the answers.
1 as blind blakes, birth certificate ever been found?

2 as his death certificate ever been found?

3 as his grave ever been located?

Yes, Angela Mack in Grafton located this info.

My wife and I donated a gravestone last year and I believe Angela had it installed before the winter.

To be completely accurate, the answer is "yes" to numbers 2 and 3, "no" to number 1 - the likelihood of an actual birth certificate for a Black baby in rural VA in the late 19th Century is not great. The death certificate gave that information and is presumed accurate.
