Charley Patton - Dry Well Blues
« on: June 23, 2015, 12:34:47 PM »
The first attachment is kind of something I've been messing with for awhile.
One of my very favorite Patton songs, obviously coming from a different direction.

Also, I attached an original called 'And When I' that is CB related only in that I came up with the first part of the main riff while working to learn 'One Dime Blues' by BLJ.  I never 'nailed' that song but did end up with kind of a 'together' little guitar line.  That ever happen to anybody?

Thanks for checking them out, hopefully you find something amusing or interesting or even disgusting about them.

Out of curiosity, has anyone seen someone cover this song before, solo or band?

I used to cover "Dry Well" when I was still playing the bars.
That's all she wrote Mabel!
