The colored folks been singing it and playing it just like I'm doing now, man, for more years than I know. They played it like that in the shanties and in their juke joints, and nobody paid it no mind 'til I goosed it up. I got it from them. Down in Tupelo, Mississippi, I used to hear old Arthur Crudup bang his box the way I do now, and I said if I ever got to the place where I could feel all old Arthur felt, I'd be a music man like nobody ever saw - Elvis Presley, 1956, Last Train to Memphis
Hi! Slack, A trivial point - which being a trivial person I do not hesitate to make. The icons next to the threads on the main forum page are aligned top. This looks a touch unbalanced to me.
Interesting - all the rest of the sites pages seem to fit fine at 1024x768. However, the Forum main page goes off the right-hand edge of the screen and generates a scoll bar at the bottom of the page.
Is there supposed to be a differential in resolution betwen the Forum index page and the rest of the site ?? Are the rest of all the pages to be upped to the resolution you quote in answer to Boots query ? Me, I'd like to see it stay at 1024x768 but thats cos I'm idle and don't want to change res for different sites !!!
Cheers and thanks
Steve

No Steve, use any screen resolution you want.... I was just razzing boots a bit.
Both the forum and the front page template are supposed to be variable width. I thought I checked them in all screen resolutions (eg 800 x 600 on up) - but let me chech them again. I agree that it is irritating having a scroll bar at the bottom.
Any one else have a scroll bar at lower resolutions?
and I am using IE Version 6.0.2800.1106.xpsp2.050301.1526
Checked in Firefox and i DO NOT get the scroll-bar at the bottom of the Forum index page. This version is: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows U); Windows NT5.1; en-US; rv: 1.7.8; Gecko/20050511 Firefox 1.0.4
Cheers.

Just in case it helps - I've just checked it out on a WIN-98 SE box (Win-98 SE V.4.10.2222A) running IE Version 6.0.2800.1106 and the Forum index page has a bottom scroll bar on this too. Running at 1024x768 res.
Cheers.

Slack, Just checked the laptop which runs at 1024x768 and got the same results as Steve. This is in Firefox 1.5 running on XP Pro SP2.
Edit: It's happening on the radio page during the requests countdown. Must be the long header holding it wide as it has gone back to normal with regular schedule.

Yes, consistent - but it is ONLY on the Forum index page - ALL of the individual forum subject pages are absolutely fine.
Steve, I've tweaked the forum template --- and I am personally not getting the extended index page in IE -- but you check it out and see if it works for you.
On a related topic. Microsoft has released a public beta (beta 2) of Internet Explorer 7. I've been chekcing it out the past 2 days and it is pretty nice - it incorporates much of what is already in Foxfire tabbed browses, foxfire type search box, rss feeds etc etc. you must have Windows XP Service Pack 2 installed to run it. here is a link in case anyone is interested. Just be aware that Beta means they are still working on it.
Hmm, that old scroll bar is back on the Forum index page and there is also one on the Juke index page too.
Whilst I am on - how does one spell Roy Bookbinder's surname? I have always spelt it as one word 'Bookbinder' but I notice that all of Roy's tunes on teh Juke are under a surname of 2 words "Book Binder" - I am unsure which is correct and which ain't.
