My baby came to me this morning and said I'm kinda confused. She said "If me and B.B. King was both drownin', which one would you choose?" And I said "Oh Baby, Oh Baby, Oh Baby, I ain't never heard you play no blues" - Steve Goodman, The I Ain't Never Heard You Play No Blues

Thanks for these additions.  Love the Sidney Bechet version.

The Sidney Bechet YouTube file was disguised as by the Chuck Wagon Gang in 1949. The actual recording proves to be well worth a listen by this white male and female gospel quartet.

Thanks for posting this John. This is wonderful. I love Connie Williams. Is the Testament album (CD?) still available?

Hi Ned,
I sure agree with you about Connie Williams.  What a singer and player!  I just checked on U.S. Amazon and they list his CD as "currently unavailable".  I hope that is just temporary.
All best,
Johnm
