Ramblin' Mind Blues

Willie Bee (Willie B. James) - Vocals, Guitar
Probably Frank Tannehill - Piano
Fred Williams - Drums

September 28, 1937
Chicago, Illinois

Piano in G

Woke up this mornin’, the train was passing by
Says, I woke up this mornin’, the train was passing by
Well, I didn’t have my fare, I wished that I could fly

This town have beat me, I want to ramble on
This town have beat me, I want to ramble on
If I see a freight train, I won’t be ‘round here long

I ain’t got no money, can’t get no woman here
Says, I ain’t got no money, can’t get no woman here
Says, they don’t want no man, can’t buy them daily beer

Last night, I dreamed that the, whole ‘round world was mine
Last night, I dreamed that the, whole ‘round world was mine
Says, I woke up this mornin’, I did not have a dime

Says, I’m down this mornin’, but I’ll be up some day
Lord, I’m down this mornin’, but I’ll be up some day
When the first freight train pass by, I’ll be on my way

Hi Harry,
I think the end of the first two lines of the second verse is "RAMBLE ON"
All best,

Harry, in the last line of the third verse, it sounds to me like he is singing "Says, they don’t want no man, can’t buy them daily beer."

INTRO

I woke up this mornin’, my mind was runnin’ two different ways
I woke up this mornin’, my mind was runnin’ two different ways
I had one mind to leave this town, and one mind to stay

I wonder do my baby, ever think of me
Well, I wonder do my baby, ever think of me
She keeps me worried and bothered, worried all the time

It have been days, I didn’t have no place to go
It have been days, I didn’t have no place to go
When I went back to my baby, she said “get up where you goin’ go”

GUITAR/PIANO SOLO

I hate to see the evening sun go down, behind the cherry tree
Said, I hate to see the evening sun go down, behind the cherry tree
When baby walked away and left me, you know that is killing me

It was early this mornin’, my tears come fallin’ down
It was early this mornin’, my tears come fallin’ down
She worried me, worried and bothered, I’ve got to leave this town
