All this forum talk of Woody's birthday.... the influences Mssrs. Guthrie and Zimmerman etc...has led me to believe this may be of some interest to a few of you:
In attempting to name our latest family member, #4 in a line of pets w/ musically themed names.... My wife really wanted to name this guy Brand New Leopard Skin Pillbox Hat ; But the dog just wasn't going for it. So at the age of 6 weeks, after much deliberation we all settled on Arlo...

What breed is Arlo? Looks Basenji-like, but I can't see his tail to be sure.
If he is a Basenji, you're in for some big fun.

Different continent. He's a Austrailian Cattle Dog.  If by fun you mean smart, intense and willful..yes very fun, and exhausting. Very sweet with us and our other pets. A good deal louder than a Besinji.

I wouldn't take a million dollars for the years we had a Basenji.....
And I wouldn't give a nickel for another one.
