For sale is a c. 1940 - 1942 Kalamazoo X-Braced KG-12 that I purchased from Vintage Instruments in Philadelphia. You do not see very many sunburst versions of this guitar with maple back and sides, Adirondack spruce top and tortoise top and back binding. This one has lots of play wear and several repaired cracks but is sturdy and in excellent playing condition. It has been x-braced and set up by David Sheppard and has a strap pin and jack installed for a Baggs M1 pick up. The tuners have been replaced with Stew Mac Golden Age replicas that fit exactly and the originals are in the case. It is very versatile and has a well balanced, responsive open sound and excels at finger style as well as with a flat pick. The neck is a full C shape with a 1 11/16" nut and has had a recent neck set. The frets and fingerboard are in very good shape with no divots. It plays and sounds great and comes with a hard shell case that is in excellent condition.
I have reduced the price to $1,600 plus shipping and fees.
