Acoustic Blues at Dundee Blues Bonanza
(1/1)
Gingergeezer:
Hello folks,
Thought I'd point out to those who may be able to make it that the Dundee Blues Bonanza which runs over the weekend of June 29th- 1st July has a number of acoustic artists performing over the weeekend. The Bonanza does have its critics but its just about the only festival in the UK that features so much acoustic blues as part of its programme.
Among those appearing this year will be:
Prof. Scratchy and Snakehips O'Donnell
The Hokum Hotshots
Graham Robinson (Great performer of BB Fuller, Bo Carter, Blind Blake)
Lee Bates & Billy Newton
Al Hughes
Gerry Dickson
Black Cat Juke Band
There are others too. If you can make it then it'd be good to see you there!
Parlor Picker:
What a great line-up, Lee. Sadly it's the wrong end of the country for me - well actually it's in another country. Pity you can't mobilise that lot and ship 'em all down south next spring for the Euroweenie gathering in the New Forest.
Hope you have a great time.
Gumbo:
yep it looks like a great line-up. Wish i could be there!
matt milton:
blimey, there's so many blues festivals going on, it's crazy.
