Kansas Parlour Guitar
(1/1)
junglemap3000:
Hi all,
Sorry if this has been asked before, but I couldn't find anything from a few searches of the forum.
I've got it in my head that I need a parlor guitar, and looking for the past couple of months on eBay, parlour guitars made by Kansas seem to pop up for not too much money fairly frequently. Has anyone had any experience of these? Worth a punt, or should I save my money? I was thinking about using one for messing around with my slide, not looking for a world class instrument for gigs.
Here's a couple of finished auctions I missed or went over budget:

Thanks,
Si.

Personally I'd be put off by the short scale.
Why not save up a bit for something around the £200-£300 mark. A guy called Mike Savage in Kings Lynn often has some playable, decent sounding instruments on ebay.
You don't need a special guitar for slide, just use what you have to hand.

Thanks for the reply Phil. I'll give it a miss as I am trying to save up for a nice guitar at the moment, so thanks for straightening me out!
Si.

And don't forget that buying second-hand very often gives you a lot more guitar for your hard-earned cash.
