hey all,

My name's Keith.  I wanted to say hi as I'll be attending the Pt. Townsend Workshop next week.  Heard great things and can't wait to meet the fine folks in this community and jam with y'all.

Am wondering if anybody here is heading up next Saturday or Sunday and can provide a ride up to Port Townsend.  I'll be in Seattle over the weekend and would be grateful if someone had extra space in their vehicle and wanted to have some pleasant company for the ride.  I'll happily share the cost, top off your gas tank, and buy you a beverage or 2 of your choice...

Thanks a lot.

Keith,

I won't be coming by way of Seattle, but last year I took the bus that Centrum sponsors from Sea-Tac.  It was convenient and a great way to meet some other workshop participants.  I couldn't tell from your post if you knew about the bus.

Hi Jean,

thanks for the bus info.  I am aware of that option (if it's still an option at this late stage of the game), but I will already be in town vs. out by the airport, so I felt it might be easier to connect with someone in the city vs. schlep back out to the airport.  Might consider that, though.  You're right...it's a great way to meet other workshop participants.

Cheers,
Keith

Hi Keith:

I don't know how familiar you are with Seattle or where you'll be staying, but if you can conveniently get to one of the Link Light Rail stations, then riding down to Sea-Tac and picking up the bus to PT might not be a bad option. I've ridden it to and from the Westlake Station (Pine St.) a couple of times since it started running and it's okay--takes about 35-40 minutes. I think that the fare to the airport is $2.75 from there.
