Am listening to WeenieRadio as I type - Cocaine Habit Blues  :D

You have a deal for a show as I started putting some 78s onto CDs a while ago so I'll see what I can cobble up for say 30 mins worth of snap, crackle and pop complete with banter..

I'd better go off and re-read 'Chimpin' the Blues' right now!

Bet you can't wait :P

Great!  Now I don't mean to pressure you into any 'super electrical' methods (but you did say you taught computers :P ) ... any WAY you want to deliver a show - we'll figure out how to put it on the "air"!  ***

1. This is how I see it... I have (and can just about use) Goldwave which is a audio editing prog and I so can record a speech mp3 straight into the computer.

2. As for music I can rip a CD to also give an mp3 - which means I can also rip the CDs I have made of 78s.. :P

3. So I can then arrange an mp3 playlist in the correct order for Winamp and Bob's yer granny :-X

4. But, will I also need a copy of your Executive Producer [/size] Winamp program to get it all together?

5. As regards a playlist you had better say exactly what you want, track info no problem - but all them there funny timings.. please explain...

How does that grab you ???

ps Yes, I did teach computing but I'm delighted to say it was a few years ago now and the little B@~#*$ are probably still recovering!

Attached, this is also know as the ShoutCast DSP plugin for Winamp.  You need to be using either Winamp 2./x or Winamp 5.x - this plugin does not work with Winamp 3.x.  When you think you are ready for a test, lemme know and I'll send you the password to kick the Weenie Juke off the air and start your program (we oughta test it first, then schedule a show). Rename the attached file to have an .EXE extension (since exe is a disallowed upload).

Not sure I follow you here... your playlist is entirely up to you. Wanna do early jazz? A-OK. Perhaps the only guideline is that it has to be old underappreciated style of music... relate it some way to Weenie's mission of promoting old styles of music.

Can't wait!   :D
